About Me
I have been a professional dressmaker for around 20 years. I have been interested sewing and embroidery skills since I can remember.
My career began after graduating from Wimbledon School of Art with a first class degree in Costume Interpretation in 1996. Here I developed a great eye for detail and learned pattern cutting skills for period and modern clothes plus fabric handling techniques. I have worked on costumes for stage, screen, advertising and the music industry.
Alongside my own private clients, I have worked part-time for Hilary Wili Clothing and Costume Ltd in London for the past 17 years (see www.hilarywili.co.uk). Here I have had the opportunity to work closely in a small team on many prestigious costume projects, bespoke wedding dresses, and private commissions and have honed my skills to a very high standard.
